Lipstick makes my lips burn!

By | March 10, 2014

lipstickI’ve got the most sensitive lips in the world! I cannot wear any type of lipstick without my lips burning. I’ve tried many many different brands but as of yet, can’t find one that works for me. I’m wondering if any of you girls have the same problem and what you use?

I don’t have that problem of my lips burning but my lips peel. Doesn’t matter what I use if its chapstick or lipstick or lip gloss my poor lips don’t like it and peel. Sorry I am not much help. Have you tried the soft lips I think that’s what its called?

Soft lips actually works really well

they have a tinted one called Pearl I think it is…I use the vanilla and the pearl for a soft pink look.

Or try putting cherry carmex on with your lipstick. When my lips are chapped due to Vegas winds, it seems to work wonders.

I don’t have sensitive lips

but I have a bad bad habit of chewing on my lips sometimes. So, I tend to not wear lipstick or chapstic. Good luck finding something that will work for you.

The Carmex doesn’t work on me.

The ONLY ointment that doesn’t seem to bother me too much is that darned Blistex Ointment. The strange thing is I can’t wear any of the other items they make.

What happened to the days when I could slap some Wet N Wild lipstick on, plop on some gloss (ANY gloss) and go? Girls get ready, as you get older, everything changes, including your makeup!

This might sound weird but

have you tried using some of your eyeshadow mixed with a little bit of Vaseline? way back in the day when I didn’t have much makeup, I would take my brown eyeshadow put in on my hand really thick and add a little bit of Vaseline to . if I wanted a colored gloss i would add a little color and if I wanted an actual lipstick I would add more. with your products being natural you should be able to use them anywhere on your face.just an idea. I think I might have to try it myself with one of your colors and take a pic.

Have you tried good ole vasoline?

I was watching The Doctors and he said vasoline works really well too.

You know what Girls.

I think that I might have a problem with Petroleum based products which is why my lips burn. I’ve even had some of my friends who do all natural products work up some balms and ointments. They seem to work for a time, but then I’m right back to square one. It’s going to be like mineral foundation. I’m going to need to pick apart the ingredients to figure out what’s causing this issue. LOL. It Ain’t Easy but it can be done.

I do use the minerals with my Blistex Ointment when I go out. I just need something that’ll last a little bit longer.

I tried to do some research for you.

Have you tried any of these?

  • Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer with SPF 15 – could it be from the sun?
  • Vaseline Lip Therapy
  • any Chapstick brand
  • Blistex
  • SoftLips
  • Aveeno
  • Mary Kay
  • Melaleuca with Vitamin E
  • Wet N Wild maybe? it could work
  • Aveda
  • Clinique
  • Burt’s Bees
  • Neosporin Lip Treatment (thought maybe this could help with the burning feeling)

My lips are always peeling.

I have always wanted to try soft lips. So far I haven’t really found anything that really takes care of it. I am a lip gloss girl all the way though too. I really want to just get some clear glosses and make my own colors with MFFX. but I haven’t found clear gloss that isn’t expensive.

I don’t have this problem.

mine is the fact that no matter what i do, my lips are always dry and peeling. I drink plenty of water have a well balanced diet, exercise, use lip balm with spf in it, everything and my lips are always dry and peeling
