Good liquid eyeliners and how to use them

By | October 24, 2013

liquid eyelinerI’ll be honest, I haven’t tried applying the liquid kind in YEARS, but I remember having a hard time getting the line straight and perfect so I gave up. But I have always wanted that perfect liner look (on the top of my lashes)! Before I go out and buy one, I thought I’d ask you ladies for advice on how to put it on perfectly…do you blend the liquid liner in between your lashes too?

I remember putting it on and I thought it looked weird just having a black line on my lids, and I had mascara on but at the base where the roots of the eyelashes come out was skin colored still, so I must have to dab the liner in there too? do I make any sense to anyone? I feel like a moron and that no one is gonna know what I’m trying to say here.

Any help would be great! even if anyone knows of a good video I can watch of someone applying liquid liner would be fine.

Maybeline Ultra

I use Maybeline Ultra liquid liner and I love it. I apply it as close to the lashes as I can, I would say part of my brush is adding liner to my lashes and part to my eye lid, I like a thin line and I don’t like a gap between my lashes and the eyeliner. It took lots of practice to get it down right.

Loreal Telescopics Precision

I use Loreal Telescopics Precision eyeliner. The angle of the sponge makes it’s easy to glide on straight. I also have learned that doing dashes on the lid, then filling it in, helps A LOT. Finely, if all else fails, get a damp q-tip and touch up where needed.

I would like to know how people get it perfect as well.

Maybelline Liquid Eyeliner

I use Maybelline Liquid Eyeliner. When applying it, press your pinkie finger to your cheek and it will help steady your hand better. That’s what I do and I get a perfect line each time. :) Also, the harder you press, the thicker the line will be.

Revlon Colorstay

I had the SAME problem, I use the Revlon Colorstay liquid liner, in blackest black, its a felt tip, I just pull my eyelid (I know its bad but oh well lol) and then I use small strokes, Then BAM lol, I have a straight, I usually darken the upper waterline, using a q-tip to lift my eyelid up, I will try and do a video or find one for you so you know what I am talking about, its sort of confusing. Hope my little advice helps

Thanks for all your feedback! the video really helped a lot. I just bought some liquid liner today so I’m gonna go try to put it on right now. thanks so much!

Ok so I bought Maybelline Lasting Drama gel eyeliner in blackest black- and I know I didnt do a perfect job, but I’m pretty happy how it came out. I have to work on the outside corner flip thingy though
